The municipality of Águeda defined a specific route for pilgrims who pass through the municipality. This route is signposted with a characteristic signage, which is by the Chamber itself. From the place of Cavada Nova in the north, to Aguada de Baixo in the south

Under the theme “By the Paths from Águeda to Fátima”, this initiative aims to help these people on Pilgrimage, by giving them access to a faster, safer and, at the same time, more pleasant route. In this way, the Chamber intends to keep these people away from the IC2 variant, a road that has more movement and, consequently, more danger to pedestrians.
As a means of dissemination, the Chamber has prepared information leaflets that include a list of restaurants, accommodation and support areas, which people can find along this route, in addition to a list of useful contacts. These leaflets are available along the route, in these same restaurants and accommodation and in the City Hall itself.
