PR 5 - Trilho da Ponte de Ferro
The PR5 "Trilho da Ponte de Ferro", starts at Largo dos Santos Mártires, next to the Matriz de Travassô church, parish of Águeda, heading to the Chapel of Sr.ª do Amparo, where there is also a huge leisure park .

Description
Arriving at this park, head to the right, passing by a SIMRIA structure. After 200 meters along a ditch, take a path between loreiros and poplars that leads to the "Vouga line", heading to the left through a rural road parallel to the railway. After about 300 meters, the road moves away from the Vouga line, starting a gentle descent towards the choupal at the beginning of which takes a path on the right which, parallel to the Vouga line, leads the hiker to the "Rio Velho" and the Ponte of iron. You pass under it until you reach a path between the two rivers: the Velho river and the Águeda river. Over both the Iron Bridge.
It is now heading upstream along the right bank of the Águeda River. In the place of the "Volta" you can see the confluence of the Cértima river (the Pateira de Fermentelos) with the Águeda river, as well as the Requeixo bridge.
Continuing along well-defined paths along the bank, the choupal gives way to the cultivated lands where maize predominates.
After a small hill, where you can visit the "EDP house" (ex UEP) and through the "vineyard path", you arrive at Vouga line again. Before crossing it, there is a path on the right that goes back to the river bank, being possible to reach "Ponte Pedrinha" and Óis da Ribeira and make the connection with PR1.
Crossing the Vouga line, through well-defined paths and through the village streets, you quickly arrive at the Igreja Matriz de Travassô, where this journey began.
