Description

The Maritime Museum of Ílhavo is a testament to the strong connection of the Ílhavos to the sea and the Ria de Aveiro. Cod fishing in the seas of Newfoundland and Greenland, the Fiaas da Ria and the Diaspora of Ílhavos along the Portuguese coast are the Museum's heritage references. A permanent exhibition corresponds to each of the themes, offering the visitor the possibility to rediscover numerous traces of the recent past.
