After being installed in the most varied buildings, the Municipal Library found, in June 2000, its own space in a modern building. Harmoniously located in the prime area of ​​the city, with a structure of sober architectural lines, with 3500m2 of floor space, it articulates all the functional areas for users on one floor.

Description

The different areas of the building are developed according to the principle of open space, from a central atrium, in two axes: one with spaces for the promotion of activities of cultural extension of the library and another with spaces for reading and all. the type of consultations on different information media. It has an auditorium with 192 seats, where colloquiums, conferences and concerts and other cultural events take place regularly.
