The Ways of Santiago are one of the main religious and cultural itineraries of today, attracting pilgrims from all over the world who, for religious faith or contemplation, have as their destination the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, in Spain, where, according to legend, there is the tomb of the apostle São Tiago, who evangelized the Iberian Peninsula. The Portuguese Way of Santiago passes through the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, in a route of about 17 km.

The Portuguese Way of Santiago passes through the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, in a route of about 17 km, extending through the parishes of Arrifana, Escapães, S. João de Ver, Fiães, Lourosa, Mozelos and Nogueira da Regedoura. Aware of its importance and attractiveness, the Municipality of Santa Maria da Feira proceeded to signal the itinerary, by placing 60 tiles, isolated or affixed to landmarks, in order to provide safe guidance for pilgrims, who travel on foot, horse or bicycle, allowing them to get to know and enjoy the local history, tourist attractions and hospitality of Santa Maria da Feira.
