Central stage of the traditional Festa das Cruzes (May 3). Its origin is related to the mysterious appearance of a black earth cross on the muddy ground of Campo da Feira, in December 1504.

The current temple opened for worship in 1710. Dome building and plant centered with the interior space arranged in a Greek cross, by the architect João Antunes. The main altar with baroque gilt carving and the altar on the side of the Gospel stands out, showing an image of the Lord of the Cross acquired, according to tradition, in Flanders in 1505.
