Museu Pio XII
The Pio XII Museum has a vast collection in the areas of lithics, numismatics, ceramics, textiles, sculpture, painting and jewelery. Some copies of each of these collections can be seen in the current exhibition “Um Museu uma História”. Visitors will be able to discover a significant part of the work of Henrique Medina, one of the great portrait artists of the century. XX.

Description
The Pio XII Museum holds 50 paintings and 20 drawings. The Museum provides a visit to the Medieval Tower known as “Nossa Senhora da Torre”, where along the 5 floors in which its climbing divides, narrates and documents the history of the city of Braga. At the top of the Tower a magnificent panoramic view. The 1st floor illustrates the period that goes from brácaros to reconquest; in the 2nd one contemplates medieval Braga; the 3rd floor puts us in the renaissance - Braga expanding into beautiful squares; the beautification of these new spaces (the work of architects André Soares and Carlos Amarante) is narrated on the 4th floor; the latter puts us in contact with the current Braga.
