Tesouro Museu da Sé Catedral
The Treasury-Museum of the Cathedral of Braga has been installed, since its foundation, in 1930, in the old Casa do Cabido. It reopened to the public on March 30, 2007, after the completion of the renovation and expansion works of the building and renovation permanent exposure. This renovation was probably one of the most radical operations that the Treasury-Museum has carried out in its entire history.

Description
The Permanent Exhibition, “Roots of Eternity. Jesus Christ - A Church ”, consecrated to sacred art, allows, through the different nuclei, to revisit the life of Jesus Christ and the History of the Church in Braga. This is told using as reference some archbishops, from the 5th century to the 20th century. This History and Art lesson is completed with a visit to the jewelery and vestment rooms.
The Treasury-Museum is home to remarkable treasures. It has some of the most relevant pieces to tell the history of the country, even when we were not yet a nation. Some of his most emblematic pieces are the Paleo-Christian tomb (5th-6th century), the Ivory Vault (from 1004-1008), or the Chalice and Patena of S. Geraldo (11th century). But others, too, are identified with the best preserved in their collections, such as the sculpture of the Virgin of Milk (1515), the Portable organ (1685) or the Miter and Gloves of Archbishop D. Gonçalo Pereira (1326-1348 ). This last set is considered unique in the context of the religious attire existing in Portugal. Some pieces will be authentic discoveries, like the liturgical shoes of Archbishop D. Rodrigo de Moura Teles (1704-1728), or the asterisk, a very original piece, but with a very practical function: not letting the host fly.
