The Interpretative Center of S. Lourenço (CISL), located in the municipality of Esposende, is a permanent, non-profit institution that will be at the service of society, contributing to its progress.

Description
Its purpose is to promote the cultural dynamism of an important archaeological site made up of the São Lourenço fort and a space that includes the surrounding area. It intends to enhance this attractive pole of the municipality, working with the community scientific information, for educational and recreational purposes.
The building also houses the Municipality's Cultural Heritage Service, which, in addition to studies on the municipality's archaeological and historical heritage, strongly invests in the Educational Service aimed at a wide range of audiences. CISL has two exhibition areas: in the permanent space, which aims to be sensory and interactive with the public, it promotes the framing of the space and transformations of the territory. It begins with the evolution of the Arriba Fóssil and human occupation until the Bronze Age, providing information on the binomial occupation-resources. Through a multimedia game and a film entitled “Caturo, the little warrior” the visitor is awakened to the evolution of the occupation of the archaeological site. The temporary exhibition area focuses on the valorization of archeology and its importance in the investigation of the occupation of Monte de S. Lourenço. Shows S. Lourenço, as well as traditions associated with this place.
Starting from the four main moments of occupation, it displays some of the assets recovered from the excavations. For this space, an exhibition structure was created that promotes a larger exhibition area, which is intended to be more quiet.
