In the division between Gemeses and Perelhal parish (Barcelos municipality) at the base of Monte de Arnelas, there is a place with a fabulous panoramic view over the parish, the middle course of the Cávado river in the municipality of Esposende and its northern coast.
Gemeses
Esposende
In this hill overlooking Gemeses, one can glimpse the remains of a papaya tree and several pillars, ruins of an old windmill with a circular structure, and granite debris that, according to popular oral tradition, belonged to the "Capela Velha do Monte" and that never it would have been completed, as well as a monolith that marks the division between the two parishes.
