Convento de Santa Clara

It was one of the richest convents in Guimarães, established in the 19th century. XVI by Canon Master School of the Collegiate Church of Nossa Senhora da Oliveira, Baltasar de Andrade.

Description

Building with a baroque facade, the sculpture of Santa Clara is in the center. The two-story cloister is of a classic type. Its very rich chapel was emptied in the century. XIX, today, part of the gilded carvings at the Museu Alberto Sampaio. Guimarães City Hall is installed in this building.
