Aldeia da Ermida, in ancient times, was an isolated place, making people come together and live a life of mutual assistance with a way of life that was linked to agricultural tasks and which we call communitarianism.

Of course, as in all communities, the Chapel also had time for religious celebration and leisure, as no community lives only for work. Even so, the whole community helped and participated in celebrities, such as the feast of the patron saint Santa Marinha, around the 18th of July, with the lifting of the arch alluding to the party.
It should be noted that, today, some traditions are still maintained in this village and that they are still linked to the agricultural and livestock calendar.
However, due to the aging of the population, there was a need to create an Association, ATACE, which currently promotes activities that keep community traditions alive and have developed others to attract tourists to the village, namely Vezeira, Feira da chanfana, and the feast of olive oil and olives.
