The large Guincho beach is located between two rocky points, the high point and the tip of the flank, with a great stretch of sand, both in length and width.

Description

With clear and crystalline water, the large Guincho beach is considered one of the largest beaches in the country, with a high influx of vacationers, forming part of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. It is possible to observe a volcanic chimney, constituted by an important outcrop of basaltic rock, exposed during low tide.

The Sintra mountains and the dunes provide an internationally recognized landscape.

It is also sought after by surfers, windsurfers and kitesurfers, where world championships of the same modalities are held.

Beach access:
By car - Following the road from Malveira da Serra, the N9, or the road from Guincho, the N247, to the beach. On this beach there is free parking.
By bus - Use the number 405 or 415 buses to the Guincho stop and do the rest on foot to the beach.

Access to the beach can be done by stairs or ramp.
