Spaces and environments have been recreated that allow the visitor to perceive, in a more immediate way, the evolution of the history and technology of the Portuguese pharmacy, from the end of the 15th century to the present day. Reconstitutions of authentic Portuguese pharmacies from the old pharmacy of the 18th century, to the Liberal Pharmacy of the early 20th century.

Also noteworthy is the reconstruction of an authentic traditional Chinese pharmacy, originating in Macau from the end of the 19th century and an area dedicated to Military Pharmacy.
Pharmacy in the World
The theme of Pharmacy and Health are approached with pieces of extreme quality, from civilizations and cultures so far in time and space, such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Incas, the Aztecs, Islam, Tibet, China, Japan and, finally, the European Pharmacy from the middle ages until 1929, with the isolation of penicillin by the English scientist Fleming.
The exhibition ends, with the display of portable pharmacies used on the Space Shuttle "Endeavor" on the last trip of the millennium (December 2000), in addition to medicines from the Mir Orbital Station and the food of Russian astronauts.
The museum has a shop and restaurant.
