Description
The farm is dated 1881 by the Reid family who created the garden as their private park. Today, the property is open to the public.
The garden covers an area of 80,000 m⊃2; and houses a fascinating collection of species of many different plants, and a research and conservation area. In addition to all these attractive features, the Botanical Garden also has a Natural History Museum and a cable car that connects it to Freguesia do Monte.
