It has gardens where you can admire archaeological sculptures, among which it is possible to highlight the tombstone that, according to tradition, covered the remains of “Henrique Alemão”.

In the center of the garden you can find the two magnificent Manueline windows from the 16th century, carved in basalt.
Here you can also visit the main house - which is associated with the figure of João Gonçalves Zarco, discoverer of Madeira and First Captain Donatory of Funchal -, the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Piedade, the archaeological garden, the orchid plantation and several species of camphor trees , palm trees, eucalyptus from Australia, among many others.
