The Electricity Museum, known among locals as “Casa da Luz”, is located in the space where the former Funchal Thermal Power Station used to function and as such presents a set of documents and machinery that allow the visitor to have a perception of the evolution of the network of electricity in the Region.

The permanent exhibition allows the visitor to walk through various sectors of the evolution of electricity, not only in the region but throughout the world, and is complemented with interactive elements.
The museum also has temporary exhibitions in which it receives a wealth of themes.
Schedule
Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm
Closed on Sunday, Monday and public holidays
