Marco de Canaveses
It was in 1960 that the first stone of what would become the House of Novitiate and the Sanctuary of the Infant Jesus of Prague was laid. This building consisting of two equal bodies that are separated by the Church of the Sanctuary was born on the grounds of Quinta da Mória in Avessadas, Marco de Canaveses. In 1980 part of the Convent was converted into a house of prayer and in 1982 the Center for Spirituality was opened.
PILGRIMAGE to the SANCTUARY of the BOY JESUS of PRAGUE takes place annually on the first Sunday of June and it is attended by women devoted to the Child Jesus. There are also many pilgrims who, on the Sunday closest to the 25th of each month (the day of the Child Jesus), look for this sanctuary to receive the blessings of the Child Jesus of Prague, which are held at the Eucharist at 11:30 am.
