The Stone Museum of Marco de Canaveses is much more than what you see. The permanent exhibition corresponds to the first phase of a project that aims to extend the Museum to many places. In the future it will be a polynuclear museum. Bigger, dynamic and innovative. From here in the center of the Museu da Pedra, located in Alpendorada e Matos, it will radiate to other areas of Marco de Canaveses, showing how the relationship with the stone constitutes an ancestral matrix of the municipality.

The stone that so many poets sing, is here, in a living dialogue: through the distant relationship with man; as an arts instrument; and as a base for local wealth.
