Posto de Turismo de Leça da Palmeira

Casa da Praia, in the corner between Streets Hintze Ribeiro and António Nobre, was recovered by the municipality and transformed into a Tourist Office. Despite the recovery project maintaining the original layout of this old bathing equipment store, the City Council could not fail to appreciate it, opening the old gable facing northwest to the sea, creating a new glass facade with shading panels.

Description

The adaptation of Casa da Praia to a tourist office was due to the initial idea of, due to its location, serving as a support for tourists to consult other works by architect Álvaro Siza and obtain information on areas and buildings of interest to visit in this municipality.

With this investment, in addition to the requalified Posto de Turismo de Matosinhos, the municipality intends to make an upgrade in terms of tourism service, focusing on the quality of the spaces and the increase in supply, along the Marginal de Leça da Palmeira.
