Description

Dating from the first half of the 14th century, the Tower is located in an agricultural valley area, with fertile land, fed by water lines. It is based on a granitic outcrop, becoming a steep slope for the fields, denouncing the implantation strategy, which guaranteed, on the one hand, minimum conditions of defense, based on the constructive characteristics of the tower itself - domus fortis - and on the other hand, visual domain over the buildings. lands and imposition in the landscape.

Preserving its original structure, the Torre dos Alcoforados is characterized by a sub-quadrangular plan with a ground floor and two floors, at the ground level the door, on the first floor there is a balcony with a broken arch and windows / semi-detached cracks distributed on the upper two floors with conversations inside.
