This route is circular, starting and ending in Salto. Using part of an old connecting path between Salto and Alvre, the trail starts at Salto along the banks of the Sousa River, towards Ribeira de Santa Comba. The route provides the hiker with mountain hikes with the marginal riversides and crosses green landscapes of strong natural beauty. It is possible to walk along old paths with their sidewalks and wheels marked on the rock, to observe Roman works of mining and traditional shale construction techniques.
