Lello Bookshop

The Lello & Brother Library has been considered in the last years as one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. At your entrance we see a neo-gothic façade and a classic interior, with a staircase and wooden walls that make us go back in time, a must visit even for those looking for other stops. The building dates back to 1906.

Torre dos Clérigos

The Clérigos Tower is probably Porto's main business card. The Baroque style tower was designed by the Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni, who left an important mark in the heritage of the city, was built between 1754 and 1763. One can climb to the top of the tower through a narrow staircase, we admire one of the best and most extensive views of the city.

Cathedral of Porto (Cathedral)

The Oporto Cathedral is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. With Romanesque roots, the building has undergone many changes over the centuries, and from the square in front of the cathedral, you will enjoy one of the best views of the city.

Church of San Francisco

Between advances and retreats, it took two centuries to build. A must visit for lovers of Gothic architecture. It presents a rather simple exterior comparatively to its interior that surprises any visitor by its beauty, with colors and the golden columns and altars.

Crystal Palace

In the Crystal Palace, you will find one of the most beautiful gardens in Porto and a magnificent view of the river Douro, a romantic place with: Birds, trees, flowers, lakes with ducks and peacocks.

Serralves Museum

Visit the art exhibitions at the museum and the house, explore the gardens and visit the farm. There are plenty of quiet and mysterious corners to discover in this unique park, which has the perfect balance between art, nature and history.

House Almeida Garrett

In this house was born the famous writer João Baptista de Almeida Garrett, one of the most honored personalities in Porto, for example the statue that is located, in the heart of the Aliados Avenue and the municipal library that exists with his name.

Casa do Infante - Museu

Casa do Infante is composed of several buildings that were built to house the services of the Crown in Oporto: the Customs House, the Mint and the Treasury Department. The figure of Prince Henry the Navigator contributed to the prestige of this monument, since it was here that he was born. Here you can find collections that show the activity of the Customs and the Mint and there are pieces that are part of the municipal reserves or that have been collected from archaeological excavations of Casa do Infante or other points of the city of Porto.

Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Closed on Mondays and holidays.

Serralves Foundation Museum

With the mission of growing the taste for contemporary art, architecture and landscape in publics of different ages, the Serralves Foundation was born in 1989, which includes the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Park.
This Foundation holds a valuable cultural and historical heritage, the Museum, a project of the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, who won the Pritzker Prize in 1992. The Casa Serralves is a unique copy of Art Deco and the park that exists there was designed by the French architect Jacques Gréber, who received the Henry Ford Prize for the Preservation of the Environment in 1997.
The park, with 18 hectares, is composed of several spaces that are connected to each other, such as gardens, woods and a traditional farm, being a reference with regard to landscape heritage in the country. Here you will be in true contact with nature and you will be able to enjoy a great diversity of plants. In addition, in this space there are several sculptures that are part of the Serralves Foundation collection.
The Serralves Foundation holds the largest festival of contemporary artistic expression in the country, and one of the largest in Europe, which is called Serralves in Festa in June. This event lasts 40 hours, is free admission and counts on the presence of national and international artists. Here there is music, theater, contemporary circus, cinema, photography and many more activities.

Romantic Museum of Quinta da Macieirinha

Facing the Douro River and surrounded by the green of the Gardens of the Crystal Palace, this is the image of the Romantic Museum of Quinta da Macieirinha.
This museum is housed in a building from the 18th century (from 1701 to 1800) and the fact that it is framed by the garden and old farmland gives it a romantic look.
Location: Rua de Entre Quintas, 220, Porto
Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, from 10h to 12h30 and from 14h to 17h30. Closed on Mondays and holidays.

Football Club Museum of Porto

On the ceiling of the museum the constellation that defines the club, the Dragon, illuminates a large collection of trophies including the Intercontinental Cup, the UEFA Cup or the European Super Cup, in addition to the national champion cups or the recent Portuguese Super Cup. At the Museu Futebol Clube do Porto there are, in all, about 200 trophies on display! The visit to this museum, which opened in 2013, spans three centuries and depicts odd episodes of the club's life.
If you like football, go visit this space in time! It is here that will revive the club's more than 120 years of life, with the magic of interactivity and audiovisual, with more than 200 videos.

Museum of Sacred Art and Archeology

This museum, located in the north wing of the former Colégio de São Lourenço, Porto's current Major Seminary, was inaugurated on March 9, 1958. Here you can visit a valuable estate. In the permanent exhibition gallery, religious sculptures dating from the thirteenth century (from 1201 to 1300) to the present day are patent to the public. This museum also includes a section of archeology, from prehistory to the end of the Roman Empire, as well as wood and limestone images from medieval times.
