Space that best preserves the atmosphere of the past, concentrating most of the classified heritage of the city. It encompasses Praça do Almada, where the City Hall Building stands out, Rua Visconde de Azevedo, which hosts the Archive and the Municipal Museum and other streets full of details from the past.
Praça do Almada, Rua Visconde de Azevedo,
Póvoa de Varzim
Walking through the streets of Gaios and Quingosta, we can see the alleys that still maintain the layout of centuries gone by. Guided by the towers of the church, and arriving at Rua da Conceição, we suffered the impact of the wide atrium barred by the imposing front of the Matriz church, whose interior provides the admiration of beautiful baroque altars of gilded woodwork.
