The Soutos da Lagoa and Bairros occupy most of the alluvium of the Bougado Valley, former possession of the King - the “Reguengo de Vougado”, already mentioned in documents from the 13th century -, located between Monte de S. Gens de Cidai, the small elevation of Finzes and the river Ave. This valley is characterized by the mini-land agricultural structure, common in Entre-Douro-e-Minho, offering a landscape consisting of areas of agricultural and ecological reserve.

Trofa
Around the two Soutos, both marked by cult buildings, there are housing nuclei that maintain some vernacular buildings, of which nineteenth century farming houses stand out, some of which retain their functional and housing structure.
