The church of the legendary patron of Tomar contains an admirable stone ordeal and a profuse decoration alluding to the symbols of the Holy Spirit on the paneling of the Main Chapel.

The language of the Coimbrã Renaissance is enhanced by the portico and the window to the taste of Nicolau Chanterène. Inside, it is covered with diamond tip tiles, from the 17th century. The altarpiece of the crucified Christ is attributed to João de Ruão.
The Arco das freiras is the air passage between the Poor Clares of the Convent of Santa Iria and the old Palace of Frei António de Lisboa.
