The Ecovia de Ermelo is a type of route for cyclists with a distance of 5.2 km. The main section, at the foot of the Serra do Mezio, goes northwest through several streams and streams with fast currents that feed the Touvedo Albufeira.

Description

As you approach Ermelo, you notice the first signs of cultivation and small terraces, vineyards and olive groves. The orange trees delimit the path and in Ermelo, you can find them everywhere. In the village of Ermelo (4.6 km) it is well worth going up to the church. This, classified as a National Monument, was built on the site of a 13th century Cistercian monastery. The old route to Soajo can be found following the ecovia until the end (4.8 km).
