The typically Romanesque Vilela Bridge is also symbolic of the architectural manifestations of this type existing in the municipality's rim. The parapet is made of stonework, with the basal floor, of an irregular nature, resting directly on the closing of the arches.

Typically Romanesque in construction, and although the concrete date of its construction is not known, a toponym "bridge" appears in the Inquiries of 1258, which may suppose its existence in the first half of the 13th century.
