Main tower of the medieval walls of Caminha, gives access to the Medieval Historical Center of the village. Facing south, this tower had the Portas de Viana underneath, as it constitutes an exit towards Viana do Castelo.

Description

With a square plan, it consists of two floors, and is currently the only remaining turret of the castle of Caminha. In 1673 a clock was placed on the top of the tower that would give it its name. It has been a National Monument since 1951.

In 2008, it was the target of requalification and enhancement, where the Museological Nucleus of the Historic Center of Caminha appeared, placing the Torre do Relógio building, at the service of culture and tourism, where the History of Caminha and its urban evolution from its origins until today, they assume the main role.
