Melgaço
Passing through the moat, some remnants of a stone breastplate and several sidewalks dated from different times stand out. To help better understand what is being observed, there are some information panels that refer us to the defensive system of the Vila from the 13th to the 17th century.
Also, be sure to notice other exposed parts, which were discovered during the excavation of the site, such as a catapult projectile and several throwing stones.
Come and discover part of the medieval history of Melgaço, taking the opportunity to stroll through this beautiful square, where there are many buildings of great architectural and historical interest.
