Elevated to about 500 meters of altitude, the Crasto de Cristelo occupies a stain of coarse-grained, calcareous-alkaline granite. According to archaeologist Maria de Fátima Matos da Silva, this village is rich in traces of "possibly residential" structures and granite-cut stone. For the researcher, "the village should have had two walls: one surrounding the acropolis and the other roughly in the middle of the slope"
