The Regional Museum of Paredes de Coura is installed in Casa da Veiga, its origin dates back to the 19th century. XVIII. It consists of 3 exhibition galleries and a rural house, the first dedicated to “linen”, the second to land mobilization and the third to archeology.

Paredes de Coura
The rural house consists of a kitchen, where the fireplace and the bread oven stand out; two bedrooms and a living room on the top floor. On the lower floor or basement there is a shop, where cattle were once cut.
On your visit we can visit several collections, such as:
The Archeology collection, from the Municipality of Paredes de Coura, with materials from the Iron Age to the final phase of Romanization.
The collection of Ethnology, presents a whole set of equipment used in Agricola work.
Clothing Collection, composed of more than a hundred pieces of clothing of historical value.
Furniture collection, entirely from Casa do Outeiro, composed of a wide range of styles and periods, where the 19th century revivalist and the romantic predominate.
Sacred Art Collection, entirely from Casa do Outeiro, composed of oratories, imaginary, engraving and painting, almost entirely dating from the 19th century. XIX.
