Monte de Santo Ovídio has "a privileged location as it dominates the Lima valley to the mouth and the transversal valleys through which the Labruja and Estorãos rivers flow."
Rua de Santo Ovídio, Sá 4990-730
Ponte de Lima
It was a Castro village, that is, from the Iron Age, although the insculture of a Cavalinho, in a boulder near the chapel, leads us to affirm that Man would have climbed this mountain many centuries before.
From the medieval period is the grave, anthropomorphic in shape that according to legend will have burial service to the hermit who lived here. The chapel of Santo Ovídio tops the fantastic viewpoint over the village of Ponte de Lima.
