The Portuguese Toy Museum is installed in Casa do Arnado and its annexes, next to the Roman bridge, on the right bank of the Lima River. The permanent exhibition takes us on a journey through Portuguese manufacturers, from the late 19th century to 1986.
Largo da Alegria 4, 4990-154
Ponte de Lima
On the first floor, the layout for decades allows a notion of manufacturers, manufacturing techniques, raw materials and geographic distribution of Portuguese industries. Visit tinplate bells, wooden beach buckets, paper dolls, pickup trucks, boats, trains, tricycles and pedal cars. The route continues through the garden accessing the Sala das Brincadeiras, the Oficina do Toy and the temporary exhibition room. The mandatory exit is through the store, where visitors can find real rarities and take home unique toys!
