Religious architecture is one of the most notable examples of the Romanesque in Portugal. Since 1910 it is a National Monument. The Convento de Sanfins was the head of the old Couto Monástico de Sanfins that encompassed the parishes to the north of the municipality and lasted until 1834. Its importance deserved several privileged royal letters. The first buildings of a religious temple date back to 604 AD. Source: https://visitvalenca.com
