Description

Traditionally known as Matriz Velha, it came to be called Capela das Almas because its churchyard was a burial place from the time of D. Afonso III until the end of the 19th century.

From the primitive structure of the 13th century, rebuilt and added in 1719, by canon Domingos de Campos Soares, there remains a solid arch in the south wall of the temple and the cross at the head, remaining in the typical building of the small temples of the 18th century Baroque. .
