The current building of the Church of Nª Srª d'Agonia dates from the middle of the 18th century and is the result of the reconstruction of an old chapel on the end of a cross.

In this example of the final Baroque, where it is possible to detect some influences of the Portuguese-Brazilian Baroque, the altarpieces of the altars decorated in "fat carving" stand out, with special emphasis on the Cenotaph of the Passion designed by André Soares. The tower, which dates from 1868, was built displaced from the body of the building, so as not to impede the traditional rounds of the pilgrimage around the Church.
