In addition to the magnificence of its volume, it stands out for the delicacy of some of its elements, such as the armored portal, with inscription alluding to its construction, the diving fountain implanted in the inner moat, next to the SE bastion, with faces open by arches on pillars, and the mannerist chapel of Nossa Senhora das Brotas built in the interior.
