Year Seasons

The various seasons diversify the various tourist offerings in Portugal. From summer, spring or even winter, our traditions and cultural identities are the key points for tourism. Spring


Spring in Portugal starts on March 21 and runs through June 20 and is a season of the year marked by sunny, drier days with a gradual increase in temperatures, since it is the season before summer.

Summer

Summer starts on June 21 and ends on September 20.
In Portugal summer is marked by high temperatures and lack of rain. It is common for thermometers to reach 40ºC or more and fires and fires are recorded throughout the country from north to south.

Autumn


Autumn starts on September 21 and goes through December 20 and is a windy season where the rain comes with force and the trees look beautiful.
Temperatures begin to drop and are around 10ºC, but in the higher regions can easily reach 0ºC and even negative temperatures.

Winter


It starts on December 21st and goes until March 20, it is quite rainy and in some days it is common to encounter storms and very strong winds.
Temperatures in the highest points of the country are negative and in Serra da Estrela, for example, it is possible to ski and find snow accumulation of more than 1 meter.
