More than 300 years old, the Vilarchão oil mill was a community mill. Currently, it belongs to the Junta de Freguesia and still retains all its original machinery, which allows it to produce oil using the traditional method, in which the force of water is the driving force.

Description

Every year, in December, this mill hosts a playful initiative that makes it possible to make known the traditional processing of the transformation of olives into the final product, which is olive oil. It is an activity whose objective is to enhance the land and agriculture of the municipality, keeping alive the traditions, uses and customs of old.
